Getting Organised
Summary
The Getting Organised! course is a weekend for Explorer Scouts to get involved in running their own section. They will work with mentors to find out about running an Explorer Scout Unit, what happens within Explorer Scouting in their District and County, and it will give them the skills they need to get involved and make a difference!
What's happening this year?
This year there are 2 courses running. The first is on the 18th - 20th November 2011 for Explorers from Preston, Chorley, Blackpool and Wyre Districts. The second course is on the 3rd - 5th February 2012 for Explorers from Ormskirk, South Ribble, Fylde and Lonsdale. Find out more here:
Who is it for?
It's for any Explorer Scouts who are interested in finding out more about how Explorer Scouts runs, and are keen to get involved in the decision making and programme planning for their Explorers.
Where is it?
The November course is at Guys Farm near Lancaster and the February course is at Bibby's Farm near Chorley.
How do I apply?
Applications are done by Districts, with each District having 6 places available for each course. If you are interested in Getting Organised then contact your Distriact Explorer Scout Commissioner or your Explorer Leader and they will help you.
